What We Do

Providing Financial Support for Integrative Cancer Treatments

The Integrative Cancer Foundation of British Columbia (ICFBC) is dedicated to helping cancer patients access integrative therapies that can improve their treatment outcomes and overall well-being. Many of these treatments are not covered by traditional healthcare plans, making them unaffordable for those who need them most.

Our mission is to remove financial barriers by raising funds and providing financial assistance to individuals seeking integrative cancer care.

How We Help

1. Financial Assistance for Patients

We provide grants to help cover the costs of integrative cancer treatments that can support conventional therapies. Our financial assistance program ensures that those who cannot afford these treatments still have access to care that may improve their quality of life.

2. Raising Awareness About Integrative Cancer Care

Many people are unaware of the benefits of integrative therapies in cancer treatment. We work to educate patients, families, and the broader community about evidence-based complementary treatments that can support healing and recovery.

3. Partnering With Donors and Organizations

We collaborate with individual donors, corporate sponsors, and community organisations to raise funds that go directly toward helping cancer patients receive essential care.

4. Connecting Patients With Resources

In addition to financial support, we help patients navigate their treatment journey by connecting them with trusted information, healthcare providers, and community support networks.

What Are Integrative Cancer Treatments?

Integrative cancer treatments combine conventional medical care with complementary therapies to support the body’s natural healing processes, reduce side effects, and improve overall well-being. Some of the treatments that may be supported by our financial assistance program include:

  • High-Dose Vitamin C Therapy – Used as a complementary approach to help strengthen the immune system.

  • Mistletoe Therapy – A plant-based therapy studied for its potential role in immune modulation and symptom relief.

  • Nutritional and Immune Support Therapies – Personalised nutrition plans and supplements to optimise health during treatment.

  • Dichloroacetate (DCA) Therapy – A metabolic therapy under research for its potential effects on cancer cells.

  • Photodynamic Therapy – A targeted light-based treatment used alongside conventional therapies.

  • Hyperthermia Treatments – A heat-based therapy that may help enhance the effects of conventional cancer treatments.

Every case is different, and we encourage patients to consult with their healthcare providers to explore the best options for their treatment journey.

Our Impact

Since our founding, we have provided financial assistance to numerous patients, helping them access treatments that might have otherwise been out of reach. With the continued support of our donors and partners, we aim to expand our reach and assist more individuals in need.

Together, we can make integrative cancer care accessible to those who need it most.
